Leon has become a regular collaborator and for our latest shoot we chose 2 very contrasting ideas – Assassins Creed cosplay homage and classical art nude boudoir. Leon excelled in both genres using his skills as an-up-and- coming actor, with the aid of some of the many props in the studio and the shoot resulted in a set of arresting images.
‘The Bard’, Ciaran Davis, is an actor, costumier, armourer and stuntman. Every so often he visits the studio with an authentic historical costume. Our latest shoot was no exception. Ciaran supplied a fully authentic French late 18th century Musketeers costume complete with antique Spanish sword and also a Napoleonic soldier’s costume. I set up a couple of small stage sets comprising of various props to compliment the period of the outfits. Ciaran skilfully employed his acting skills to characterise each scenario.
Brad booked a shoot to add new studio images to his port, and was especially interested in the styles that we offer at JBDI-photography – alt fashion, cosplay and steam punk. We captured a great variety of amazing images during the shoot utilising many of the in-house props that are ready and waiting for clients to enhance the experience of their photoshoot – swords, retro camera. skateboards, steam punk accessories and min stage sets.
Euan is an upcoming model and Instagrammer (@euanthum) who got in touch to arrange a studio shoot, which he hadn’t experienced before, his previous experience being outdoor and travel shoots for his Instagram account. We covered black and white portraits with leather jackets using
some of the extensive wardrobe of costumes in our studio, formalwear shots, some arty fantasy shots with candelabra and decanter and ended with some spiky steam punk images!
Many more employees and business people are now working form home but they still require striking and effective headshots and portraits. JBDI-photography can supply great looking headshots and commercial portraits. Keiron and James recently booked shoots to obtain professional business headshots for their Linkedin, Facebook and workplace profiles. Please see the Business Headshots page for more information and fees.
Actor and model Harley got in touch to update his port with some portraits, headshots and costume shots using the props and outfits we have in our studio. We started with some gritty black and white portraits and then progressed onto a Dickensian/cosplay theme with top hat and tuxedo and ended the shoot with a sports and casual theme.
Darren is a very dedicated and versatile model and actor who I have worked with on a number of occasions. He owns an extensive personal wardrobe as well as a huge variety of props that he can supply to give extra authenticity and excitement to any shoot. We booked a morning at Antwerp mansions, a dedicated run-down and urban photography space in Rusholme, Manchester. Using the grungy and dilapidated interior, we worked on several scenarios to produce some surreal, steampunk, alternative and sci-fi shots.
3 actors/male models visited the studio in the last couple of months and we produced some exciting character and costume shoots – ‘The Bard’ as a medieval knight, Tyler as a Tommy Shelby style gangster and Darren as a 40s film noir sleuth. Actor headshots and costume shoots with our many props and accessories are always available at our studio near Manchester Airport, please contact to make a booking.
A model of great ability and experience, Helen Diaz visited the studio to shoot a scenario dedicated to ‘Ariadne’ the wife of ‘Dionysus’. We constructed a special set to evoke the classical mythology and to pay homage to classical and renaissance art. Just for a touch of variety we finished the shoot with some ‘Film Noir’ shots!
Marco got in contact wanting to add some character shots to his port. We worked on some 30s style Peaky Blinders and formal wear themes. Marcus got straight into character and we obtained some atmospheric period shots.
