Leon has become a regular collaborator and for our latest shoot we chose 2 very contrasting ideas – Assassins Creed cosplay homage and classical art nude boudoir. Leon excelled in both genres using his skills as an-up-and- coming actor, with the aid of some of the many props in the studio and the shoot resulted in a set of arresting images.
Kianis – Character and Cosplay shoot
After Kianis’s first shoot , we very promptly arranged a follow-up session to pursue themes that we did not have time to cover during our initial meeting. The first theme was a ‘
30s working class/peaky blinders costume combination, we then changed to a more outlandish steam punk alt fashion outfit and finished the shoot with some colourful male fusion images.
Ciaron – Greek warrior and Assassins Creed Cosplay shoot.
Actor, Costumier, Fight director and male model Ciaron @ciarondavies booked another shoot to showcase his latest outfits which he uses and hires out in his professional acting career. We shot a diverse selection of images featuring the two outfits Ciaron provided which resulted in some dramatic imagery.
Kianis – Alt portraits and Boudoir Shoot
Kianis is a handsome new male model who was very interested in adding more varied images to his portfolio. Our shoot covered many different genres and we made use of the props and costumes available in the studio, with the intention of providing Kianis with a much enhanced portfolio. We concentrated on moody black and white studies and art nude boudoir images to add some spice to his port.
Arty and Seductive Male Boudoir with Emil
Emil is a regular collaborator and since his first shoot last year he has developed immeasurably as a model and honed his physique achieving a much leaner look. For this shoot he wanted to push his boundaries so we developed and arty boudoir/dudoir theme with greek busts and pillars and our ornamental gilt frame and came away with some superb images.
Boxing shoot with male model Robert
Almost exactly a year after our first shoot, Robert travelled to our studio for a boxing themed shoot. We set up the studio boxing punchbag to give more authenticity to the images and also shot some American Football themed images as well as skateboarding and mythic-themed shots with the ceremonial sword. As usual the studio props helped us create some striking images.
Emil – Fashion, Editorial and Underwear shoot
Emil is a young up-and-coming model who I have worked with on several shoots. He’s developing with each new shoot and our latest session was a great opportunity for him to greatly expand his model portfolio with some high quality fashion, editorial and underwear shots. he’s been working on his physique and it really shows in the images we captured.
The Bard – Musketeer and Napoleonic Shoot
‘The Bard’, Ciaran Davis, is an actor, costumier, armourer and stuntman. Every so often he visits the studio with an authentic historical costume. Our latest shoot was no exception. Ciaran supplied a fully authentic French late 18th century Musketeers costume complete with antique Spanish sword and also a Napoleonic soldier’s costume. I set up a couple of small stage sets comprising of various props to compliment the period of the outfits. Ciaran skilfully employed his acting skills to characterise each scenario.
Jesse and Darren – surreal latex fetish shoot
A first for JBDI-photos but a very creative shoot. Jesse and Darren booked a shoot to show off their full body latex wear. The dynamic between the two models was immediately apparent and I tried to capture the surreal and humorous side to their interaction.
Classic Art Nude and Cosplay with Phil
Actor Phill, who was visiting from London, got in touch to arrange a shoot to take advantage of the many props available in our studio near Manchester Airport. Luckily, I had just added some new classic Greek antique props which we were able to utilise for the first time. Keen to show off his great physique, Phill posed nude for most of the images. This is the first shoot in a series of classic or renaissance inspired collaborations that I planning, in which I’m hoping to feature contemporary models interacting with antique props.
